Chris Haendel
9U | BASEBALL COACH
Hi I’m Chris Haendel, I have been coaching with the Legends Organization since 2022 and PONY before that.
I started playing at an early age working my way through the different levels and eventually playing my travel ball for Babe Ruth in the Bay Area. After playing all 4 years at Amador Valley (Pleasanton), I played 2 years at Chabot College for the legendary coach Steve Friend.
I was fortunate to transfer to Long Beach State and work with the Dirtbags baseball program and coaching staff from 2005-2007. After years of moving around the Bay Area my wife Veronica and I landed in Brentwood and we enjoy watching our 3 kids play the sports they love.
My coaching philosophy is centered around player development ensuring our kids have a positive and supportive environment, all while building character and teamwork, and emphasizing effort over just winning.
